Subcult. is the name of the joint venture between producer and
beatmaker Ni_so and rapper and songwriter Avex.
Two complementary profiles, grown on different parallels, which converge in the city of Bologna, where the project takes shape: Avex, Eritrean by father, who lived up to 20 years in Addis Ababa; Ni_so, who grew up on the Adriatic coast.

Their background is in classic hip-hop, in the warm sound of the eastcoast, but also looks at soul, jazz and afrobeat rhythms and contaminations that come into their self-produced debut EP, out on February 25th.

Ni_so's beats are full of soulful elements and are yet striking, neat and headnodding. Avex's lyricism pays homage to the American rap school in the most talented, original and jar-dropping fashion.
